On our recent holiday to Greece we had a very exciting event.
Against the picturesque backdrop of St Paul’s Bay, Steve’s brother David tied the knot with his beautiful fiance Karla.
Many say that your wedding day sets you up for the rest of your married life, so if it be true and I think that it is, I truly believe that David and Karla’s life will be filled with love and laughter.
Of course apart from the excitement of the impending nuptials, I immediately started to fret about what I would wear to a beach wedding.
Unlike a traditional British wedding, this big day would be filled with hot sunshine!
(Something completely alien to a pastey Brit girl like myself.)
So with comfort at the top of the list and with less than 5 months to plan and purchase this outfit, my personal styling was seriously put to the test.
With a love for Greek mythology (I blame Disney’s Hercules) and the back drop to match, I couldn’t help myself but go Grecian.
Known for their ethereal style of draping and delicate fabrics, I found this perfect pastel pink sheer dress from Topshop.
Originally the length came down to a few inches below the knee, but with my hobbit size I felt it suited a shorter hem, so with the help of my trusty sewing machine I gave it a little crop.
Teamed with some gemstone sandals and a rose gold clutch to match I felt like quite the little Greek!
